Air-Weigh, the leader in on-board electronic scale systems for commercial trucks and trailers, is adding a key mechanical engineering position.  Air-Weigh  is a growth-oriented technology company shipping products nationwide to Europe, South America, Australia and other parts of the world. We are seeking a mechanical engineer to design, develop, and sustain products, and to support product release and manufacturing.

Our on-vehicle systems include sensors monitored by modules located on both the truck and the trailer, coupled to in-dash and touch-screen displays. Our sensors and components are housed in small packages, designed for the rugged transportation environment.  Products include plastic injection molded, machined, sheet metal and formed steel parts.

Qualified candidates will have a BS Mechanical Engineering with excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to drive tasks and projects to completion with limited supervision. We desire experience in electronics packaging, manufacturing methods and automation, 2D drawings, and process documentation. 

Additional skills include component overmolding, vehicle electronics packaging, FEA, GD&T, ISO 9000, and SolidWorks.  Experience testing parts and systems to formal standards is also a plus.
